Evaluation:

For this task we chose to create a horror/thriller movie about a girl(myself) that is followed and eventually murdered. We used the setting of a park for our narrative in order to create an eerie atmosphere. This is as there were few people around, making the mise en scene, fit into the convention of horror films. We also used a range of shots such the establishing shot in order to set the scene. James performed as 'the follower' and therefore wore darker clothing to add a sense of mystery to his character. To contradict this, my character wore lighter clothing. This juxtaposition allows the audience to know what the roles these characters play and who the protagonist and antagonist are.

For editing, we chose to cut the ambient sounds within the shots and instead add non-diegetic sound into it. This was horror music that had a array of sinister noises and instruments such as strings which complimented the plot line of our film. Low-key lighting was used within the tunnel scene to create a sense of fear for the audience as it plays on 'the fear of the unknown'. Close ups shots of character's expressions were significant as it helped to establish what was happening in each scene.
