This is also highlighted through the mise en scene of his house.The props such as the plants try to entail that he is responsible and well abled. The props and cleanliness contrast that of all of the other characters houses. The lighting also exaggerates this as it contradicts the bar in the previous scene.




















Dead baby scene

The scene begins with the diegetic noises of hysterical screaming. This is done to reveal to the audience the mood of the scene by suggesting something bad has happened.
The first shot is cool toned due to the blue lights. The colour blue is used to symbolise the death of the child as something morbid and sad. It is also important to note lighting.







In the scene 'sick boy' he refers to Renton by his first name, 'Mark.' He does this in order to emphasise the seriousness of the situation.
